A deal abroad is in the works for Steve Komphela, with the indications that the Golden Arrows mentor could be set to be lost to the PSL in the new season.
According to well-placed sources, Tanzanian club Simba SC have been in talks to potentially offer Komphela a deal for the 2024/25 season.

Simba have been without a head coach since parting ways with Abdelhak Benchikha in April due to family issues that the 60-year-old needed to attend to back home in Algeria, as confirmed by the Tanzanian giants at the time.
Juma Mgunda has been in charge on the interim and working alongside Selemani Matola, and together, they led the team to a third place finish in their few matches to the end of the season.
Sources close to Simba have confirmed that talks are at an advanced stage with Komphela, with the only thing left being the former Kaizer Chiefs mentor to sign on the dotted line.

"The discussions have been successful between Simba and Steve Komphela to become the club's head coach. The club is confident that Komphela will sign, and they have since stopped pursuing other coaches, as a result. There should be an update in the next few days," said the source.
Attempts have been made to get a comment from Simba board member Mulamu Nghambi, but he is yet to respond at the time of publishing.
