Earlier this month, Pirates signed former Yanga strength and conditioning coach Helmy Gueldich.
But it appears the Buccaneers' ambitions know no bounds as the club are understood to have roped in renowned Sports Scientist Morten Ridgard.
Ridgard has over a decade of experience and previously worked at Bloemfontein Celtic. He also worked with Bafana Bafana as well as Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
He holds a B.A in Human Movement Sciences degree and an Honours Degree in Sport Sciences, which he obtained from the University of Free State.
He was spotted at Pirates' training sessions ahead of their CAF Champions League First Preliminary Round second leg tie against Djabal at Orlando Stadium on Friday night.
The Buccaneers will be competing in five competitions this season and will be leaning on Ridgard's experience in keeping the players physically prepared for the demands of these matches.
