With Benni McCarthy stating in a recent press conference that he attended interviews with three MLS clubs, Soccer Laduma has investigated which teams had approached the South Africa legend.
Insiders close to the former Manchester United forwards coach have indicated that the clubs are believed to be LA Galaxy, Los Angeles FC, and St. Louis City.

The Siya sources added that all three clubs were impressed with what they had heard from McCarthy during their meetings with Bafana Bafana's all-time top goalscorer.
"There were several clubs interested in Benni (McCarthy). In England as well as in the Middle East. Also in South Africa, but most of them, he turned them down. And he went to America for those interviews," said the Siya source.
"Yes, there were three clubs including the one that Bradley Carnell used to coach and Njabulo Blom used to play for (St Louis City). And it's believed that the other two are Los Angeles FC and LA Galaxy. That's what we know but there is nothing for now that we can talk about," the source added.
A second insider stated that despite offers from South African clubs, McCarthy is not ready to return home at this point.

"Yes, it's true there were about three or four clubs in South Africa who were interested in him too. They even contacted him but he told them he is not ready to come back home yet. It's not like he is disrespecting our teams but it's because he is aiming higher," said the second insider.
"And with those three interviews in the MLS the chances of him not getting the job are very slim. One of the teams will hire him for sure. All the interviews were positive but lets wait for the right time," the insider added.
Soccer Laduma contacted McCarthy's agency for comment on interest from MLS clubs but no response was received by the time this report was published.
