A search for a new club has been started for a former Orlando Pirates midfielder who is looking to reignite his career in the new season.
Having finished the 2023/24 season with Chippa United where he made 15 league appearances, Luvuyo Memela was allowed to leave at the expiry of his contract in Gqeberha.

The winger, who has also played for AmaZulu FC and Richards Bay FC among other clubs in his professional career, added four assists to his numbers last season but that wasn't seen as good enough to earn him a contract extension.

The Mbekweni-born winger, who will be turning 37 this month, isn't thinking about slowing down yet, as conformed by close sources.
"One thing about him (Memela) is that he is such a hard worker and that's why he won't be retiring just yet because he believes that he can still compete at the highest level. His handlers are assessing options for him and don't be surprised to see him in the PSL in the new season. Amigo is an experienced player who is still having a lot to offer in the game despite his age," said the source.
