Insiders close to the club have revealed to the Siya crew that the parties have been locked in talks.
"For Xoki, the new two-year deal is as good as done. Yes, talks have been going on for sometime now but apparently it's all over now as the concerned parties are believed to have agreed to that new deal which will run until June 2027 as things stand at the moment," a source revealed.
Indications are that the club us focused on the new campaign.
"Defence is Pirates' strongest department if you look at it. And the club is making sure that they keep all of them even for next season and that's one of the reasons why they have apparently agreed to a new contract with Xoki," the source added.
Xoki who didn't start the season with the rest of the players due to injury has so far played in seven league games while last season he featured in 26 league matches scoring on two occasions.
The defender joined Pirates in 2022 from AmaZulu which is expiring on 30 June this year.
