As reported by the Siya crew last month that Orlando Pirates could be at an advantage to win the race for Polokwane City and Bafana Bafana star Oswin Appollis' signature, the player's move is now likely to be concluded, as indicated by close sources.
After being strongly linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs in the previous transfer window, Appollis continued to shine for Rise and Shine this season as the club still had plans to have him in their push to compete for a better position in the Betway Premiership.

Having also been linked with a move abroad with reported interest from North Africa, Pirates emerged with their interest as indicated by sources in November, and between the two clubs' highest offices it is believed that an agreement could be reached for a deal in January.

"Like I told you (last month), Pirates have had an advantage on Appollis because of the good relationship between the two clubs. It's those kinds of deals between chairman and chairman and you can expect the move to happen in the coming weeks," said the source.
Appollis, 23, has been one of the influential players for Polokwane again this season, having featured in 12 matches across all competitions and has also been a key figure for Bafana under coach Hugo Broos in helping the team to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.
