Orlando Pirates will have to wait on Cape Town Spurs' potential relegation before moving in on the services of their striker, the Siya crew has been informed.
Siya sources close to both clubs have indicated that the Buccaneers have sustained interest in forward player Ashley Cupido, with a move contingent on the Urban Warriors' fate in the DStv Premiership.

Currently, Spurs find themselves at the bottom of the league standings, facing an expected threat of relegation.
"Pirates didn't want to disturb Cape Town Spurs. That's why they only proposed that they could only get Ashley (Cupido) if Spurs are relegated. They want to keep the youngster in the DStv Premiership next season and he is one of their targets on top of the ones they have already inquired about," the Siya source told Soccer Laduma.
The Siya crew recently provided a list of five forwards linked to Pirates.
The potential Cupido transfer could also see Pirates' on-loan striker Boitumelo Radiopane making his stay at Spurs permanent.
"If all goes according to plan then Radiopane could stay at Spurs while Cupido could move to Pirates. But as you have heard, it will depend on the status of Spurs in the DStv Premiership. If they are relegated or not," said the second Siya source.
"The deal may depend on that right now but Pirates have been monitoring Cupido since last season when Spurs were in the Motsepe Foundation League and they are happy with the process of the young striker," the source concluded.
At 23 years of age, Cupido has demonstrated his goal-scoring ability, netting six goals in 23 PSL games this season. His impressive performances follows a successful campaign in the Motsepe Foundation League, where he scored a goal on average in every two games, catching the eye of Pirates scouts and the technical team.
Pirates' patience could see them strengthen their attacking options and the potential move underscores the Buccaneers' commitment to nurturing talent and bolstering their squad for Caf competitions.
Bucs are now guaranteed to participate in Africa next season, and it remains to be seen if that would be in the Caf Champions League or Confederation Cup.
