The Siya crew has been led to believe that Stellenbosch FC will not make it easy for clubs looking to secure the services of striker Iqraam Rayners, with his value increasing over the last few months.
The striker who recently scored five goals in a 5-0 victory over Polokwane City currently sits at the top of the PSL goal scoring charts with 13 goals, making him one of the most valuable players in the DStv Premiership.
His inclusion in the Bafana Bafana squad recently has also increased his value, with Stellies looking to weigh their options in terms of the offers interested clubs make for the forward.
At 28 years of age, Winelands-based club believe that Rayners is in his prime and still has a lot more to offer in the coming years, so they are not going to make the mistake of letting him go for less than what he is worth, though a price tag has not been revealed to the Siya crew.
Indications are that Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and defending DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns are interested in securing the signature of the former SuperSport United man, seeing him as a player who would add loads of value to their squads.
It's understood that the player is open to leaving Stellies and trying his luck in Gauteng one more time, as his time at SuperSport did not go so well.
