Orlando Pirates appear to have been joined by another of their rivals in the PSL in pursuit of a striker who has been in form and scoring goals this season.
Against the University of Pretoria FC in the Nedbank Cup qualification on Wednesday, Muzomuhle Khanyi scored the only goal in the 1-0 win for Hungry Lions FC to take the team to the Last 32 of the prestigious tournament.

The 25-year-old in-form striker is also leading the goalscoring charts in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with nine strikes.
A few clubs in the top flight have been keeping a close eye on the forward, with Orlando Pirates understood to be leading the race for his services, according to sources.
While it is unclear if the Buccaneers will be making a formal offer in January, indications are that Stellenbosch FC have joined the race showing interest in Khanyi.

Stellenbosch, who lost 3-1 to Morocco's RS Berkane in their CAF Confederation Cup Group B match at Moses Mabhida Stadium yesterday, are believed to be assessing options to boost their options up front after losing Lehlogonolo Mojela for the rest of the year due to injury, and indications are that Khanyi has emerged as a target.
"Yes, Stellenbosch have become the latest club to show interest in Muzomuhle Khanyi. There is a possibility that talks could be opened between the player's representatives and the club in the coming weeks, if things go according to plan between the parties," said the source.
