Kaizer Chiefs could be preparing to raid Stellenbosch FC once again when the January transfer window swings open, the Siya crew has been informed.
Their target? Skillful midfielder, Nhlanhla Mgaga.

Siya sources close to Amakhosi have indicated that the Glamour Boys may have their sights set on Mgaga, aiming to bolster their midfield at Naturena. With a sturdy defensive midfield already in place, the need for balance in the middle of the park has become a priority.
"They are looking at strengthening the attacking part of the team. You have seen that the team has a good defensive midfield now and they want to balance it with the attacking midfielders that's why they are looking at Nhlanhla (Mgaga) from Stellenbosch FC. I don't know whether they have talked to Stellenbosch already or if it is just for the team structure to discuss it first but they are monitoring him," the Siya source said.
However, Chiefs' transfer moves are as meticulous as they are bold. A second Siya source discussed their strategic approach.
"As much as they are interested in Nhlanhla (Mgaga) they want to maintain a good squad with a good number of players and that's why they want to offload some players while bringing in others. So, as they are interested in the Stellenbosch midfielder they are looking at which players they would release or loan out so that they can balance the squad," the source told Soccer Laduma.
The 27-year-old Mgaga, signed from Baroka FC last season on a three-year contract, has proven himself at Stellenbosch. With a good amount of Premiership appearances this season, he's earned a reputation as one of the club's standout performers.
The Siya crew contacted Kaizer Chiefs for comment but no response was received while preparing this story.
Will Mgaga's progress grace the Amakhosi midfield? Or will another chapter unfold in his Stellenbosch fairytale where they recently lifted the Carling Kknockout? Only time will tell. But one thing's for sure: the next transfer window will be a key one for both clubs.
