Sources privy to the latest happenings at BFA have indicated to the Siya crew that Ramoreboli has emerged as the favourite for the Zebras role, with the possibility for him to be appointed on an interim basis for the team's remaining two matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mauritania and Egypt next month.

Since moving to Botswana to join Jwaneng Galaxy in 2021, Ramoreboli has done remarkably well, having won the league in two successive years, as well as the Orange FA Cup.
"Morena Ramoreboli is a strong candidate for the role of interim coach for the Botswana national team. The team wants to fill the role vacated by the coach (Didier Da Rosa) who left, and will be in charge for the remaining two games in the AFCON qualifiers if he gets appointed," said the source.
Meanwhile the appointment has since been confirmed in a statement issued by the BFA on its social media platforms.
