A lot has been said in recent weeks about Monnapule Saleng's future, and now the Siya crew can reveal that the Orlando Pirates talisman has landed on the radar of Egyptian outfit Future FC.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2022/23 season and was one of the more impressive players under Jose Riveiro, scoring 15 goals and setting up 11 assists in 30 matches across all competitions. As a result, he has attracted interest both on the continent and in Europe.
Soccer Laduma reported in edition 1337 that Danish Superliga side Odense Boldklub, otherwise known as OB, were amongst the teams keen on the former Free State Stars speedster, but that there had been no formal approach from them just yet.
Now, the latest news, as incoming from sources, is that Future FC have been sniffing around the Bloemfontein-born star, although they are yet to make an official approach to the Buccaneers. However, the North African club has been putting out feelers in the local market on the creative winger's availability.
Information at this publication's disposal indicates that the left-footed magician is contracted to the Soweto giants until June 2024, meaning that any interested club – be it in Africa or Europe – will have to negotiate a transfer fee with his club if they are to land his sought-after services.
