Following his exit from Kaizer Chiefs, a return to Moroka Swallows is being bandied about for Kamohelo Mahlatsi, though it is still early to come to any conclusions with potentially more on the table.
The Glamour Boys confirmed on Monday that they had parted ways with the dreadlocked player, with his contract terminated by mutual consent. He had been with the club for a mere season, having joined from the Birds in June last year on a three-year deal. In his last campaign with Swallows, the midfielder made 23 appearances in the league and a further four in the promotional/relegation playoffs as the Dobsonville-based outfit maintained their top-flight status which at one stage seemed to be flying out of their reach.
However, things haven't been the same for the 25-year-old as he struggled for game time with only five league appearances under Arthur Zwane, Amakhosi's head coach last season. Sources have confirmed to the Siya crew that a return to Swallows is one of the options for the skillful star.
"A return to Swallows for Kamohelo Mahlatsi is being bandied about after his disappointing spell with Kaizer Chiefs. It's something that has been discussed by those involved for now, but there is a possibility that he may return to the club. The boy would like to revive his career after he didn't play much at Chiefs," a source revealed.
With Mahlatsi being a free agent, he isn't being affected by the transfer window that will be closing on Friday.
