A decision regarding the future of Owen da Gama as Magesi FC's head coach is expected soon, as the club weighs its options, the Siya crew has learnt.
Da Gama took over the reins in December, replacing Clinton Larsen, at a time when the team was struggling at the bottom of the Betway Premiership table.
When he arrived, Magesi FC had only six points from nine matches and looked destined for relegation.

However, under his leadership, the team has shown significant improvement, climbing to 11th place with six wins and two draws in 14 games.
With just six matches remaining in the season, Da Gama appears to be on track to achieving his primary objective – securing the club's top flight status.
Sources close to the club indicate that management is considering offering Da Gama a long-term contract.
His initial appointment came with a short-term mandate to steer the team away from relegation, after which discussions about his future would take place.
Given the club's progress under his guidance, Magesi management may see him as the right man to lead them beyond just survival.

"The coach has done well, and the club management have been impressed. What he has done is what the club would like to build on going forward. They would like to keep the coach although the focus right now is on the remaining games of the season to make sure that the status is secured," said the source.
A final decision on Da Gama's future is expected soon as Magesi look to build stability in the league.
