Kwayiba Catching The Eye Of Top PSL Teams

Chippa United's Sinoxolo Kwayiba, with two Man of the Match awards in four games, has quickly attracted interest from various PSL clubs.

As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Sekhukhune United and Orlando Pirates had already shown interest in the midfielder. Now, sources close to Chippa United and other teams have indicated that one of the most successful clubs in the PSL have also inquired about him.

An insider added that Kwayiba's strong performances at the start of this season have made a massive difference in the type of interest he has received.

"What I can tell you is that there has been interest in him. Yes, now with the way he has started the season it has increased but it actually started last season. We could not have been talking about it because we were protecting the player," said the Siya source.

"He is still young. He is 24 years of age, he still needs direction. There are actually three clubs who have inquired about him but I don't think it will be the right time to say which teams they are but I promise you in the next two months it could become official and you can know the teams," the Siya source stated.

To provide a clue on who the team could be, a second source stated that all the interested PSL clubs are based in Gauteng.

"They are Gauteng clubs. They are big clubs but it's not up to me to tell you which teams they are. One team has sent scouts to two of Chippa United's games so far and something could happen in the next transfer window period as things stand," the second source observed.

Last season, Kwayiba didn't play that many league games, but he seems to be on track to make a big improvement in the current campaign. The Siya crew contacted Chippa United's executive director, Lukhanyo Mzizi, who could neither deny nor confirm the teams interested in Kwayiba.

"Yes, there could be but we don't have formal interest yet (in terms of an offer)," Mzizi told Soccer Laduma.

Kwayiba's impressive start to the PSL has not gone unnoticed, with top PSL clubs expressing interest in the talented midfielder. As the season progresses, the interest in Kwayiba is expected to intensify, potentially leading to a significant move in the next transfer window.
