Following Kaizer Chiefs' 2-0 loss to Polokwane City on Sunday, coach Nasreddine Nabi is understood to have met with team management to discuss his need for a striker again, the Siya crew has been informed.
Sources close to the club have indicated that while Nabi is generally satisfied with most of the team's departments and their respective performances, he is concerned about the strikeforce.

Insiders added that Nabi emphasized the importance of converting scoring opportunities, stating that without a clinical striker, efforts would go in vain from the other departments on the field.
"The coach has told management that they can fail to sign everyone else but not the striker. Apparently in the meeting in the weekly match report he told the technical team that they can put all the other signings on hold and concentrate on signing a striker. The coach believes that all the other departments, even if they are not doing very well are well-balanced, but not the strikeforce," said the Siya source.
"According to him, signing a striker should have been the first priority even during the off season. So now, he has given them an ultimatum to sign a striker or else they should not expect miracles at all. So for January, we think the main focus will be the signing of a striker or even two if the budget allows. He has even asked them to concentrate now more on signing a striker than a winger or midfielder. That's his ultimatum to the club management," added the source.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi have several strikers on their radar, including Fiston Mayele from Pyramid FC, Botswana international Tumisang Orebonye of Moroccan side AS FAR, Kenyan captain Michael Olunga based in Qatar, and Golden Arrows' Lungelo Nguse.

Coach Nabi is focused on securing at least one striker target in January. Currently, Amakhosi have four strikers: Christian Saile, who is expected to leave the club; Ranga Chivaviro, who started the campaign strongly with two early goals but has since faded; as well as Ashley Du Preez and Wandile Duba.
Collectively, Chiefs have been poor in terms of converting their many opportunities into goals, while conceding the most number of goals in the PSL.
Attempts to reach Chiefs for comment were unsuccessful at the time of publishing this story.
As the Glamour Boys aim to strengthen their offensive line-up, coach Nabi's insistence on acquiring a top striker underlines his strategic vision for the team. The upcoming January transfer window presents a crucial opportunity for Chiefs to bolster their scoring capability, potentially altering the team's fortunes for the remainder of the season.
It remains to be seen if Amakhosi will prioritise a striker signing, as Nabi wants, and then focus on bringing in a winger or midfielder.
