Following the unceremonious exits of Abubeker Nassir and Bongani Zungu from Mamelodi Sundowns, the Siya crew has learnt that another one of the club's players could be on the move.
Junior Mendieta could be on his way out of Chloorkop after just one season.
This is according to multiple reports in Europe that have strongly linked the Argentine midfielder with a move to Greek Super League side Volos NFC.

Having joined Sundowns from Stellenbosch FC at the start of the 2023/24 season, the 31-year-old was brought in by the club having been one of Stellies' standout performers in his time with the club.
Mendieta would be much less of an influence at Sundowns as only eight of his 29 appearances in all competitions came as a starter, being used largely off the bench by coach Rulani Mokwena.
According to information made available to the Siya crew, Mendieta still has two years left on his contract with the Brazilians and a transfer fee would have to be negotiated to facilitate his possible transfer away from the club.
Well-placed Siya sources have informed the crew that Sundowns would be open to the sale at the right price. His exit would also open up a second foreign spot on Downs' quota, with Nassir having already left the club.
Sundowns' players are expected back at their Chloorkop base on Monday 1 July, though it remains to be seen whether Mendieta forms part of the returning contingent or whether he will seal a move to Europe.
