Rest In Peace: Ex-Pirates Striker Passes Away

Former Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City striker Justin Shonga has sadly passed away.

The Zambian Football Association confirmed the unfortunate news of the striker's passing on Sunday evening.

The 27-year-old passed away after a short details, with the Police Deputy making the announcement.

"Former Chipolopolo forward Justin Shonga has died," FAZ Football tweeted.

"Zambia Police Deputy Spokesperson Dan Mwale has confirmed in an interview with the FAZ Media Team.

"Mwale said Shonga died at Sikanze Police Hospital after a short illness. More details will be availed in due course."

The striker spent a few years in South Africa, representing the likes of Pirates, Cape Town City and Sekhukhune United.

Soccer Laduma sends our condolences to the Shonga family during this time of bereavement.
