After joining Mamelodi Sundowns as one of the most expensive strikers in South Africa, the Siya crew investigates the feeling in the technical team regarding the Brazilians' slow start so far.
Siya sources close to the club have indicated that even though Sales had a promising start behind the scenes when was actually showing what he can do in training, he has not proven that in his contributions on the field in the striking department so far.

The sources added how the technical team and management could work on the next steps to accommodate the striker to improve at Sundowns.
"At first they were patient with him because he had just arrived and they wanted him to acclimatise with the rest of the team and the environment. The technical team feels he is not contributing as much as they would have liked him to do," said the Siya source who hopes Sales will begin to change his fortune soon.
A second insider stated that the Brazilians are looking for the best way to resolve the situation.
"You see players like (Lucas) Ribeiro Costa, Iqraam Rayners and Tashreeq Matthews and the other forward players are doing very well and the club is looking at how to solve Sales' situation. It could be like that of Matias Esquivel as well. But yes, his situation doesn't look good for the club at the moment," the second insider stated.

Critics would also have to consider that a number of big name players, including Bafana Bafana stars have had a slow start at Sundowns this season so far, particularly with a long season ahead, head coach Manqoba Mngqithi is likely to be looking at bringing in certain players gradually.
22-year-old Sales has played a few games so far, specifically in the MTN8 and Caf Champions League and even though he hasn't scored, much is still expected from him for the rest of the campaign once he gets used to South African conditions.
