It was terribly disappointing for Kaizer Chiefs fans to see their team squander a 2-0 half-time lead against Royal AM to draw 2-2, and then a week later they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Polokwane City at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Despite these challenging results, insiders close to the club have indicated that while the players' spirits were initially low, morale has since rebounded.

Siya sources added that following the loss to Polokwane City, the squad was understandably downcast. However, since Monday, the morale at training has improved significantly, with players displaying renewed energy and a positive vibe. The players are actively working to address their mistakes and are motivating each other to fight for the coach.
"Of course on Sunday it was bad. Travelling back the trip was quite. The spirits were broken but from Monday the morale is back. The players are actually consoling each other and they are pushing each other to fight better in the next match and in every match. They have agreed that everyone at the club had their part to play and they are doing their best and that now it's up to them as players to show their commitment and dedication to the team that puts bread on their table. But talking about the morale - it's high as we speak," the Siya source stated.
A second insider stated that the players feel they owe it to the coach and the technical team, who have shown belief and trust in them.

"They can't look down in disgrace now. But they have seen that they have to take it upon themselves to change the fortunes of the team and do it for the coach. The coach has a special understanding and working relationship with the players and that's why they want to fight for him on the field of play and get the results from the next games. They want to do it for the coach and the team and mainly the supporters who haven't given up on them even in difficult times," the second insider stated.
Amakhosi have played eight games in the Betway Premiership, winning three, drawing two, and losing three. They currently sit in ninth position with 11 points, with their next game against TS Galaxy scheduled for December 16 at Mbombela Stadium, starting at 15h30.
