It's come to the Siya Crew's attention that at least two coaches who were part of Nasreddine Nabi technical team during his spell at Young Africans are still keen on getting an opportunity to work in the Premier Soccer League.
The Siya Crew has been informed that Hammadi Sghir, the assistant coach, as well as Militon Nienov, who was the goalkeeper trainer at Yanga are both interested in reviving any lingering interest by local clubs.
Nabi was heavily linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs towards the end of his contract with the Tanzanian champions, but talks collapsed with the Glamour Boys when the Tunisian insisted on roping in his own technical team.
Chiefs wanted Nabi to work with Arthur Zwane, who would have been demoted from being the senior team mentor given the results were not going his way.
In the end Nabi took up a job offer at AS FAR in the Moroccan Premier League and could guide the club to a league title with five matches to be played as they continue to occupy first place as things stand. Nabi did take Sghir along with him to the Botola Pro League to work as his second in command, but Nienov is currently unattached.
"They are keen on coming working in SA and this wouldn't be a new environment for Nienov because he previously worked at Golden Arrows as the goalkeeper coach," said a Siya Crew source in the know.
It remains to be seen whether any PSL club will take a chance during the off season when clubs look to reshuffle the backroom staff and player movements.
