The door is not closed on Kaizer Chiefs utility defender Reeve Frosler moving abroad should the right offer come along. It was reported recently that the 25-year-old was courted by Romanian outfit FCSB, who were hoping for a double deal for Frosler and his then Amakhosi teammate and centre-back Siyabonga Ngezana.
While the Glamour Boys sold Ngezana for a fee believed to be in the region of R12 million, the decision was taken by the club and Frosler's camp to decline a move to Europe after international player union FIFPRO flagged Romania as one of the leagues with a high volume of violating contractual obligations.
Frosler was recently asked by journalists at the Chiefs media day whether he was involved in the call taken against the transfer.
"Yes, it was decided by all parties that this wasn't the best time and I am happy with that – my focus is Kaizer Chiefs," was all the player would say at the time.
Soccer Laduma has been led to believe his camp has not completely closed the door to finding a possible move in future for Frosler overseas. The player has, in the past, been on the radar of clubs in France, Belgium as well as the USA, but instead put pen to paper on a new deal at the Naturena-based side until June 2025.
The former Bidvest Wits man is also still determined to find his way back in Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos' good books ahead of next year's Africa Cup of Nations, having failed to make it to the preliminary squad for the friendly against Namibia next month.
