The Siya crew understands that experienced campaigner Denis Onyango could be in his final season as a professional footballer, with a big decision set to be made by the end of the current campaign.
The Brazilians held on to the Ugandan shot-stopper at the end of 2022/23 and indications are that they have plans for him at Chloorkop, though it's unclear at this stage where he will fit in once he brings an end to his playing career.
The club has given opportunities within their ranks to former players such as Tiyani Mabunda, Teko Modise, Hlompho Kekana and Kennedy Mweene, with Onyango now looking set to be next in line.
With Reyaad Pieterse, Jody February and Ricardo Goss as back-up options to number one shot-stopper Ronwen Williams, the Tshwane giants feel that they have enough arsenal in that position within their squad.
This means Onyango will have to consider his future, and Soccer Laduma understands that there is a chance that the 38-year-old will bring an end to what has been an incredible career with so many major titles in the bag. With 10 league titles achieved, he remains the most decorated PSL player.
Last season, the former Ugandan international made seven appearances in all competitions and this term he has played once so far. Onyango will be 39 when the season comes to an end, and there is a possibility that he will join his former teammates who have brought an end to their careers over the last few years.
