Following an unimpressive run which saw them fail to win a single game in nine straight attempts in this campaign, the indication is that NB La Masia could be making coaching changes for the remainder of the season, with sources indicating that Daine Klate could be relieved of his duties.
Klate was appointed as the Johannesburg-based club's coach in October last year, replacing Ashwin Sutton, who had been in charge of the team.
Results have not been forthcoming for one of South Africa's most decorated players since the turn of the year and he has suffered four defeats and three draws in the seven matched he has played this year.
La Masia find themselves in a precarious position in 12th place, just five points adrift of safety.
"I think this past weekend was his last game in charge. The team haven't been performing so it was time for change," a source told the crew.
The Siya crew has learnt from sources close to the club that former Wits University head coach Alzavian Van Rheede; as well as former Moroka Swallows defender Ashraf Hendricks have been tipped to take over from Klate.
Soccer Laduma contacted La Masia for a comment but the club has not responded by the time this story was published.
