The Siya crew has been informed of Radomiak Radom's asking price for one of their most sought-after possessions, this after being unable to shake off interest from Kaizer Chiefs. Thabo Cele has been on the radar of the Glamour Boys over the past few seasons and, as reported by Soccer Laduma in the past, the club has reignited its interest in the midfielder, having failed to sign him under coach Stuart Baxter.
The player's situation at his Polish club has taken a dramatic twist following the arrival of coach Constantin Galca in April this year, which has seen him deemed surplus to requirements, leading to the side putting him up for sale.
A source close to the dealings has since informed this publication that the Polish club have placed a price tag of around R5 million for the Bafana Bafana international's services, which, according to Siya sources, has been deemed as too steep for Amakhosi.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, the Soweto giants are hoping that the stocky player terminates his current contract with the club, making it possible for them to sign him on a free transfer.
Contrasting reports have suggested that the 26-year-old could snub Chiefs, with the player understood to be keen on remaining in Europe, where he has been plying his trade since leaving the KZN Academy in 2016.
