Sekhukhune United head coach Brandon Truter has given an update on the progress of midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo, whom he described as one of the best number sixes in the league.
Mokotjo struggled for game time after he was signed by Sekhukhune in January as a free agent and only started to play full minutes in the last couple of games.
There were question marks on why the former Brentford midfielder was not used regularly and Truter has explained why.

"Top, top, from what I've seen so far I think he's one of the best deep-lying playmakers, defensive midfielder, a number six if you want to call it," Truter said on Metro FM Sports.
"Ja, he came to us not fit yet, came after a very long injury lay-off as well, we rushed him back against (Marumo) Gallants, he played 45 minutes to be honest because of us rushing him back.
"It wasn't the greatest of performance, let's put it that way and his understanding with the players around him was a bit tricky for him, we then decided to restructure his rehab programme, his conditioning programme," he explained.
The former AmaZulu mentor went on and revealed that the 32-year old is slowly regaining his match sharpness but they do not want to overload him in the final stretch of the season.
"Played a bit more in the friendlies as well. As we speak he's not 100 percent yet but the past two 90 minutes against Maritzburg he was outstanding, against Chippa as well," he continued.
"So he's coming along nicely but we must guard against overloading him now, it's the last five games, we have games now coming thick and fast, so we must not overload him that he break down again."
Truter also revealed that Mokotjo, who had close to a decade in the Dutch Eredivisie, three years in England for Brentford and a year in the Major League Soccer in the United States, is adding much more value off the pitch.
'Brakkies' explained the technical team even consults the well travelled midfielder on technical and training matters.
"He's a marvellous talent, he brings so much experience to the training field, on and off the pitch, talking to his teammates, guiding the youngsters, sharing experience with the technical team as well," he continued.
"What are they doing in Europe, what is the trends, what's the differences as well. I do it with all the players, I need to know what do they think," he added.
Sekhukhune will host Kaizer Chiefs in their next league outing on Sunday afternoon.
