Truter has now broken his silence in a statement sent exclusively to the Siya crew and thanked the club for the two seasons he spent in Limpopo.
"I spent parts of two seasons in this young football club, Sekhukhune United Football Club where I took pleasure to share my high-level experience with my technical staff, conditioning team and my players," Truter wrote.
"Bonds were formed and lessons were learned. Together we achieved so much after finding them in a relegation fight - 15th position and then achieving the MTN Top8 qualification (first time in their existence) from position 15, reaching the Nedbank Cup final, qualifying for the Prelims of the CAF Confederation Cup, and then having to part ways having qualified for the group stages of this prestigious African continental Cup competition.
"At the same time, I thank my staff for their support as well as the medical staff without forgetting the supporters who appreciated my time at the club.
"Finally, I wanted to give a special thanks to the president, Simon Malatsi, who like his brother, the CEO, Mr Jonas Malatsi, heads the Club with the values and principles that are dear to me.
"We met as men, we leave as men.
"Happy end of the season."
