Sekhukhune United could soon table an offer for Orlando Pirates midfielder Fortune Makaringe, as the Siya crew understands the club was interested in the player from the start of the current season.
Siya sources close to Babina Noko have indicated that the club could table an offer for the 30-year-old in January, and the midfielder is looking for more game time.

"You know they (Sekhukhune) are playing in Africa and they want to strengthen the squad and one of the players they want to bring in during the next transfer window period is Fortune (Makaringe)," said the Siya source.
"They tried in July but things didn't work out that time but they want to try again in January. They are set to table an official offer and then see what Pirates say about it," the source added.
A second source told Soccer Laduma that Pirates may want to cash in on a player whose current contract expires in June 2024.
"I think both clubs stand to benefit from this move if it goes through. Sekhukhune will get the player they have wanted for some time now while Pirates will make some money before he becomes a free agent," said the second source.
"At the moment they haven't made that offer yet but Sekhukhune are set to make the offer when the window period opens in January," the source told Soccer Laduma.
The Siya crew contacted Pirates for comment but no response was received while this story was prepared.
