Tyroane Sandows Grabbed An Assist For Gremio On Sunday

South African attacker, Tyroane Sandows, is gearing himself up for the first cup final of his professional career this week after grabbing an assist on Sunday. Read: Phiri Joins Brondby's Centurion Club Sandows, 21, made his breakthrough into Gremio's senior side in September, having spent some time in their youth ranks following his move from Sao Paulo in 2014, and seems to be leaving a good impression on his head coach. The attacking midfielder – who was born in Westbury but moved to Brazil as a youngster – was able to create one of Gremio's three goals as they beat América Mineiro 3-0 on Sunday, and will now be turning his focus to Ronaldinho's former outfit, Atlético Mineiro, on Wednesday night. Gremio and Atlético meet in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final, with Sandows' team looking to bag the trophy for the fifth time, which would make them the most successful club in the tournament's history. 'Ty', as he is known in Brazil, is yet to feature for his side in the Copa do Brasil this season, but given his performances from the bench of late, he will be hoping for a run out as he goes in search of his first piece of silverware as a professional footballer.
