Mzansi star, Thulani Serero, is likely to feature in Ajax Amsterdam's Champions League opener against Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Paris Saint-Germain this evening.
The 24-year-old has started the last two Eredivisie games for Ajax and will be keen to repeat his heroics from last year's Champions league campaign.
Serero, who was snubbed by Shakes Mashaba for his two first games in charge of Bafana, played in five of Ajax's six group stage matches, scoring one goal and assisting two.
Many still remember his Man-of-the-Match performance against FC Barcelona when his goal helped to defeat the Catalan giants 2-1.
Tonight, Serero and Ajax face PSG and their star player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 32-year-old striker returns to Ajax after leaving the Dutch side in 2004 for Juventus Turin.
Ibrahimovic has scored 47 goal in 108 games for Ajax and his career kick-started at the Dutch club before he moved onto Juventus, Inter, FC Barcelona, AC Milan and now PSG.
The Swedish star has scored ten Champions League goals in PSG's last campaign, and will be hoping to continue his fine form after scoring five goals in his first three Ligue 1 games.
However, if Ajax and Serero want to have any chance of progressing out of their Champions League group with PSG, FC Barcelona and Apoel Nicosia, then they need show up against Zlatan and his teammates tonight.
