His move from KVC Westerlo to English Championship outfit Burnley was reportedly in the region of £9 million (±R208 million) making him the most expensive South African player of all time and now Lyle Foster has weighed in on the matter.

The likes of Steven Pienaar, Benni McCarthy, Lucas Radebe, Phil Masinga, Shaun Bartlett and Mark Fish have all featured in the English Premiership; yet none of them have been able to fetch the transfer fee that Foster has in the English Championship.
Naturally, with those meteoric figures bandied about, a lot more pressure is added to Foster's young shoulders; however, the young striker is taking it all in his stride, despite being the country's most expensive export.
"Well, for me, I think number one is to stay true to myself and stay true to who I am. I think I got to this point by doing just that and yeah, most importantly. I hear the price tag a lot and I know it's a heavy one being the most expensive South African, but I try not to focus too much on the things that I can't control and the negotiations and that sort of thing and the price and all of that," he said in an interview with SAFA.
"All I can control is my performance on the pitch and that's what I look forward to the most. What I wake up wanting to do every day, which is play football, so yeah, I'm just focused on playing football and I want to make head waves playing football by scoring goals and by showing that us South Africans can do it and hopefully we can have a lot more South Africans there as well, so that's my main focus, my main priority," he said.
Foster has been included in Hugo Broos' 23-man squad for crucial back-to-back qualifiers against Liberia and will be hoping to replicate his inspiring club form for his country starting at the Orlando Stadium this Friday.
