Despite rumours circulating about a possible switch to South African football, Bafana Bafana striker Lebo Mothiba says he prefers remaining in Europe than to return to the PSL.

It was just last week that it was confirmed Mothiba would be parting ways with Racing Strasbourg after six years at the club.
The French giants revealed that the 27-year-old's contract would not be renewed when it expires on June 30.
The Siya crew reported that Mothiba could be a perfect fit for Mamelodi Sundowns who are currently searching for a South African striker to bolster their team, while various reports in local media have also linked the burly forward with interest from Kaizer Chiefs.
But Mothiba says he has his eyes firmly set on returning to Europe and has not spoken to any South African team as yet.
"Everything for now, everything is still between me and my agent. But yeah, I will always have offers in Europe," He told SAFA's media department.
"I'll always have clubs in Europe and now I'm not focused there in clubs. I'm only focused on my injury, my knee healing and coming back fully fit. That's why ever since I came back to South Africa, I've been working every morning. Every day, I only have off on a Sunday, so I've been working every day. I don't know anything about South Africa. I haven't spoken to any team here in South Africa. I don't know what's happening, but my main focus is healing my knee, come back and continue playing in Europe," he said.
As for his fitness and comeback trail following yet another knee injury, Mothiba is confident that he will be back in time to begin pre-season with a new club abroad.
"In three or four weeks, I'm fully fit. Yeah. So that's why now I just have to continue working and not rush anything. I must take things step by step because sometimes if you rush, you might injure yourself again and you're out for a very long time. So, that's why I'm taking things step by step and hopefully in three or four weeks I'm ready for pre-season in Europe," he concluded.
