Pirates Boosted With Return Of Stars For Final?

Orlando Pirates are likely to be boosted with the return of two stars for the MTN8 final this coming weekend, sources have indicated.

Against Richards Bay FC this past weekend, the Buccaneers were without the influential duo of Monnapule Saleng and Olisa Ndah as Jose Riveiro's side won 1-0 at the King Zwelithini Stadium courtesy of a Kabelo Dlamini goal to maintain their 100% record of three wins from three matches so far in the 2024/25 season.

Saleng and Ndah picked up respective injuries in the match last Tuesday against Polokwane City, and according to sources, the two players were not selected for the Richards Bay clash as a precautionary measure so that they can be available for Saturday's all-important MTN8 final against Stellenbosch FC.

It is understood that the two stars, who have been some of the in-form players for Bucs this season, have made progress and are likely to make the team for the Stellies match.

"Both players picked up injuries against Polokwane City, but their injuries were not very serious. They won't be out for long and could make the team for the final," said the source.
