An Orlando Pirates star is getting closer to making his first appearance of the season, the Siya crew has learnt.
Having missed the start of the season owing to injury, Thabiso Lebitso is closer to making the matchday squads at the Buccaneers after he was spotted playing in a friendly match on the weekend.

The 28-year-old picked up a knee injury during a pre-season friendly against Al Sadd at Marbella Football Centre in Spain in July.
At the time of his injury, the Sebokeng-born right-back had been back not for long from another career setback last season where he suffered a broken collarbone which required surgery to heal.

As Pirates suffered their first loss of the season in the league on Sunday against Stellenbosch FC, Lebitso and the other players who didn't feature in the matchday squad played a friendly match and there has been notable progress for Lebitso, according to insiders.
"The guy is making his way back after the long injury layoff. He featured in the friendly match on the weekend and there is progress on him regaining fitness. In two to three weeks, he will be ready to seriously compete for a place in matchday squads," said the Siya source.
