With only three appearances in the Betway Premiership for a player of Monnapule Saleng's quality, questions have been raised about his whereabouts.
Saleng has been a notable absentee from the Buccaneers' matchday squads, having missed five games in the League, including the most recent fixture against Stellenbosch FC on Sunday where the Soweto giants suffered their first defeat of the season in the competition.

The 26-year-old was also not there when Bucs defeated CR Belouizdad in Algeria in the CAF Champions League.

While certain analysts believe that Saleng's absence could be due to Mohau Nkota's emergence as they happen to play in the same position, insiders have indicated that the ex-Free State Stars player has had some personal issues that he needed to attend to.
"It has got nothing to do with him (Nkota) but it is a private matter. He should be back with the squad soon to continue where he left off with his contribution to the team. It's a personal issue and that's all I can say," said the source.
