Omossola is 24 years old and since 2020 has been on the books of Congolese outfit AS Vita Club.
Last year, the shot-stopper was linked with a move to French Ligue 1 outfit Lille Olympique Sporting Club, following his impressive performances that saw him win the 2021 Congolese league Goalkeeper of the Year award.
According to latest reports, Omossola could be set to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Bernard Morrison and Jean-Marc Makusu Mundele who are some of the players to have joined Bucs from Vita Club in recent times.

Meanwhile, Cameroonian goalkeeper coach Ernest Mabouka has weighed in on the Omossola to Pirates talk, speaking to the Siya crew.
"What I can tell you is that the goalkeeper coach who coached him in Cameroon before he left is a good friend of mine. He (Omossola) is a good boy and in terms of his mentality he is strong. He can do something in South Africa and maybe Pirates is going to be happy with someone like him. Cameroonian players and goalkeepers are strong and their mental strength is top if you look at how long (Patrick) Tignyemb lasted at Bloemfontein Celtic. If you take someone like this guy (Omossola) to Pirates, mentally he is very strong and he can be able to do good things at Pirates," said Mabouka.

"The only thing I am scared of is the management on how they would be able to manage a goalkeeper coming from another country to South Africa. Cameroonian players and goalkeepers have their way of being motivated. We have to take care of that, especially with football in South Africa and the way it is. Having worked with Jackson (Mabokgwane), I found out that South African goalkeepers have to be motivated every time. Getting a goalkeeper from another country, the club would have to be sure on how to make him understand the structure of football in South Africa and the kind of training he would have to adapt to. Maybe in Congo the training has not been the same as in South Africa and he would have to be made aware of how to change his way of living and that's what I'm scared of," the ex-Mpumalanga Black Aces keeper trainer told the Siya crew.
