Lepasa, who made the move to SuperSport from Bucs in January on loan, has the Tshwane giants interested in keeping him beyond the current campaign, as previously confirmed by club CEO Stan Matthews.
While it remains unclear if the talks would be about a season-long loan deal or a permanent move, indications from sources are that Bucs might not be interested in entering into any discussions for the 26-year-old after all following the progress he has made in the last few weeks.
Since arriving at the Gavin Hunt-coached side, the striker has scored two goals from four appearances in the DStv Premiership and has appeared to be enjoying his game.
The forward also proved to be one of the heroes during Bafana Bafana's qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations after he scored one of the goals in Tuesday night's 2-1 win over Liberia in Monrovia.

Indications are that Pirates will be willing to welcome the player back to coach Jose Riveiro's side for next season to continue with his progress.
Bafana coach Hugo Broos had heaped praise on Lepasa after the match on Tuesday.
"I know with Zakhele, he runs 90 minutes. He scored a fantastic goal. He's very quick. He was there, the entire game he was present," the coach said, in part.
