Speaking exclusively to the Siya crew, former Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has opened up about his relationship with Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena.
During his second spell with Buccaneers between 2017 and 2019, Sredojevic had Mokwena assisting him in the technical team.

The duo were commended for improving Bucs after finishing in second place on the log behind Sundowns in two consecutive seasons, while also having played in the 2018 Telkom Knockout Cup final where they lost to Baroka FC.
The two coaches were later joined by Fadlu Davids in the technical team in January 2019.
Mokwena went on to replace Sredojevic when he was appointed as Bucs' caretaker coach after the Serbian tactician had parted ways with the Soweto giants in August 2019.
With Mokwena doing well with the Brazilians in the PSL and in African competitions, Sredojevic has spoken glowingly about the highly respected tactician.
"Yes, I worked with Rulani and we had a wonderful two years. I was sincerely happy that he continued after me, unfortunately things did not go the way we were looking and wanted," he said.

Sredojevic, who is one of the experienced mentors who have seen it all in African football – the good, bad and the ugly in his 23 years of coaching on the continent, says he has remained in touch with Mokwena since their days at Ezimnyama.
"However, he went to Mamelodi Sundowns and succeeded in his mission, and I have no words to express how happy I am for him. I am in constant touch with him, and he is a very, very close friend to me. I want to say that he is proving that when a person has natural sports intelligence and having enormous working ethics, the sky is the limit in the way that Sundowns are saying it. He is someone who comes from such an unbelievable background of football family behind him from his father (Julius Sono) and his uncle Jomo Sono. Having in mind that I also know his mother, I know that his home upbringing talks volumes about him. He knows that he has a presidential suite deep in my heart," concluded Sredojevic.
