An inspiring message has been sent to Orlando Pirates' Monnapule Saleng after his impressive form in the Soweto Derby at the weekend.
After a slow start to the season as he seemed to struggle to replicate his impressive performances of last season, Saleng rose to the occasion against Kaizer Chiefs and scored two goals, including the winner as the Buccaneers claimed the all-important three points and bragging rights at FNB Stadium.

Prior to his start against Amakhosi, the attacker had started in only six of Bucs' matches in their league campaign with only one goal to his name.
The 25-year-old's other goal was in the MTN8, as well as an assist where he featured in four matches on the team's way to lifting the trophy.

Former Pirates striker James Mothibi has offered advice to Saleng on what he needs to do to maintain consistency.
"It was lovely to witness such an entertaining Soweto Derby like the one we saw on Saturday with five goals scored in total. It was great to see two goals each from Du Preez and Monnapule Saleng who is my neighbour from Bloemhof. He (Saleng) needs to focus and keep the momentum going. It's been a while since played regularly but I am happy that on his return to the starting line-up he did well. The derby was electrifying, and I was impressed with all the goals scored," said Mothibi.
