Both AmaZulu and Richards Bay FC were hauled before the PSL DC for two separate matters as confirmed by PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu.
Smanga Mchunu of Usuthu was charged with making comments of an 'unsavoury, unwelcome, discriminatory and sexually derogatory nature directed a female official from Orlando Pirates'.
Meanwhile Richards Bay Chairman Sifiso 'Jomo' Biyela was charged with making 'unsavoury comments and unsporting behaviour' directed at an official of Royal AM Football Club being Mr. Richard Makhoba.
Both defendants pleaded guilty to their respective charges and sanctions were imposed on both parties.
In the case of Mchunu, he was suspended from all football activities for a period of three months, while the club's entire security and communications staff were ordered to attend a gender and diversity programme. They were also ordered to publicly apologize to the affected official.
Biyela meanwhile, was hit with two separate monetary fines. For his offence, he was ordered to pay R100,000, of which R50,000 is suspended for a period of 24 months, on condition that during the period of suspension he is not found guilty of the same offence.
The Natal Rich Boyz were also found guilty of spectator misbehaviour and were fined an amount of R200 000, of which R100 000 is suspended for the same period and another R100 000 payable effectively.
Before concluding his statement, Majavu revealed that there is another club, seemingly Kaizer Chiefs, who will appear before the PSL DC for spectator misbehaviour in the recently held Soweto Derby.
