In a statement released on Tuesday the Premier Soccer League confirmed that the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein will for the first time in history host the Nedbank Cup Final.
"We are pleased to announce the Free State Stadium as the venue for the 2021 edition of the Nedbank Cup. This season's competition has already proven to be thrilling and entertaining so far and we expect much of the same in the final. We would like to thank our partners, Nedbank for their continued support. We also like to thank the different stakeholders for their participation and cooperation in this process. We have no doubt that this will be a successful event," PSL acting Chief Executive Officer Mato Madlala said in the statement.
Both TTM and Chippa United secured their passage to the final this weekend courtesy of victories over Pretoria Callies and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the final will take place behind closed doors with no spectators allowed on Saturday, 08 May 2021.
