Not many teams have managed to keep a marauding Sundowns side at bay this season, but the side from Polokwane has achieved this feat on two occasions, once in the DStv Premiership and now in the Nedbank Cup semifinal when they held Sundowns to a goalless draw after extra-time.
It required penalties to separate the two sides at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, with Man of the Match, Washington Arubi ultimately emerging as the hero, after he denied Hlompho Kekana from 12 yards out, to see his side emerge as 6-5 winners on penalties.
Not only did TTM deny Sundowns a chance at a treble this season, they also made history by reaching their first major cup final in the country's top-flight, which is impressive for a side who sit in 14th place on the DStv Premiership standings.
