Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Bongani Zungu, is aiming at winning the MTN8 to continue his successful career at the club so far.
The Nigel-born star managed 18 league starts last season and helped Sundowns bag the 2013/14 Absa Premiership trophy.
Ahead of the MTN8 quarterfinal at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday afternoon, he has reiterated his desire to keep winning trophies this season.
Zungu looks set to play a bigger role in Pitso Mosimane's midfield in the upcoming season and will be keen for a starting 11 berth against Allan Freese's side, who have proved to be tricky customers for Downs in cup competitions in the last few seasons.
"During the off season I worked on what I was lacking on from last season. Winning the MTN8 would mean a lot for me personally. Personally I believe in hard work. Everybody thought I won't play at Sundowns," he was quoted by the official PSL Twitter account during a Sundowns press conference on Tuesday.
The Chloorkop-based outfit has been doing well over the course of their pre-season programme, having played a couple of friendly games against Zimbabwean opposition and participate in both the Gauteng Cup and the Cape Town Challenge, where Mosimane has given as many players as possible a chance to impress.
