Casric Stars have appointed a former Kaizer Chiefs coach as their new head coach following the departure of coach Ashwin Sutton.

The Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit announced the departure of Sutton on Monday with immediate effect although the reason behind his departure was not confirmed.
It did not take the club too long to find a replacement however.
Just a day after parting ways with Sutton, the club looked internally at the man who served as the club's technical director in Sundra Govinder, the former Kaizer Chiefs scout and head of development. Govinder was announced as the club's new head coach and former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Thabo Nthethe will serve as his assistant.The duo take over the reins at Casric with the club currently sitting in 8th place on the log after seven matches played.Casric have managed two wins, two draws and three defeats in their opening matches. Having come within touching distance of promotion last season, the club will be hoping to climb up the log standings and repeat that feat.
