Baroka 2-3 Cape Town Spurs
Cape Town Spurs climbed up to second place on the log after edging Baroka in a five-goal thriller on Wednesday afternoon at Global Stadium.
Rushwin Dortley gave Spurs an early lead from a free-kick and Jayden Petersen doubled their lead on 21 minutes after finishing off a great passage of play in the box.
Baroka pulled a goal back nine minutes later through Seydney Malivha but Boitumelo Radiopane, on loan from Orlando Pirates, restored a two-goal lead for Shaun Bartlett's charges.
The Limpopo side reduced the deficit again with 12 minutes to go from the penalty spot thanks to goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke and Baroka had another penalty in the last five minutes but they missed it, as Spurs held on to all the three points.
The Cape Town side moved up level on points with leaders Polokwane City while Baroka dropped down to ninth on the log.
Magesi 0-2 Polokwane City
Polokwane City restored their spot at the top of the table after a 2-0 win over Magesi in the Limpopo derby on Wednesday afternoon at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
After a goalless first stanza, Rise and Shine grabbed two quick goals in the closing stages to seal maximum points.
Polokwane retained top spot by a slight goal difference over second-placed Cape Town Spurs and Magesi had to settle for 11th spot.
Venda Football Academy 1-1 Casric Stars
Casric Stars dropped down to third on the table after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Venda Football Academy on Wednesday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.
After a goalless first stanza, VFA were awarded a penalty just before the hour-mark but Kgothatso Mariba's spot-kick was saved by goalkeeper Ludwe Mpakumpaku.
Straight from that passage of play Thabang Rakwena went on to break the deadlock for Casric but Rudzani Thobo quickly found the equaliser for the home side six minutes later.
Casric lost ground at the top by one point behind table-toppers Polokwane City while Venda remained third-from-bottom.
Hungry Lions 1-1 All Stars
Hungry Lions missed the chance to close the gap on the promotion play-off spot after playing to a 1-1 draw against All Stars on Wednesday afternoon at Windhoek Draught Stadium.
A draw for Ditau dia Rora meant they were set back seven points behind third-placed Casric Stars in fourth place on the log while All Stars remained in sixth place.
NB La Masia 1-1 University of Pretoria
University of Pretoria halted their streak of back-to-back losses after they were held to a 1-1 draw by NB La Masia on Wednesday afternoon at Tsakane Stadium.
NB La Masia broke the deadlock midway into the first stanza but AmaTuks found their way back early in the second stanza courtesy of Kamohelo Pheeane.
The Tshwane side were left lying seventh on the log while La Masia had to settle for 13th spot, five points clear of the relegation zone.
Platinum City Rovers 1-1 JDR Stars
JDR Stars' chances of a promotion play-off spot were dented after a 1-1 draw against Platinum City Rovers on Wednesday afternoon at Olen Park Stadium.
Following a scoreless first stanza, Prince Nxumalo eventually broke the deadlock for JDR early in the second stanza but City Rovers snatched the equaliser in the last minute.
The Hammerboyz remained in fifth place on the log, nine points off a promotion play-off spot while City Rovers were left lying in tenth place.
Pretoria Callies 2-1 Black Leopards
Pretoria Callies steered six points clear of the relegation zone after edging rivals for survival Black Leopards 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Neither side could find the back of the net in the first stanza and Matimu Tshabalala eventually broke the deadlock for Leopards four minutes from the interval.
However, Callies rallied from behind as Sifiso Luthuli levelled matters with 20 minutes to go and put the Tshwane side ahead five minutes later and got his brace.
The second win on the bounce for the Romans took them up to 12th on the log while Lidoda Duvha remained rooted at the basement.
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 1-2 Uthongathi
Uthongathi won their second game in three matches after a narrow 2-1 win over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Wednesday afternoon at Dr. Petrus Molemela Stadium.
The Cane Cutters climbed up to eighth on the table while Tshakhuma remained second-from-bottom, five points short of survival.
