Cape Town Spurs 2-0 Casric Stars
Cape Town Spurs went up to second on the table after beating Casric Stars 2-0 in the promotion battle on Friday afternoon at Athlone Stadium.
Therlo Moosa gave Spurs an early lead and Shaun Bartlett's charges went to the break with their lead intact.
Boitumelo Radiopane, on loan from Orlando Pirates, secured the three points for Spurs in the last 13 minutes after he capitalized on a defensive error and rounded the goalkeeper to score into a gaping net.
Spurs jumped up to second on the log, with only goal difference separating them between leaders Polokwane City and third-placed Casric.
NB La Masia 1-2 Polokwane City
Polokwane City went up to the top of the log after a come-from-behind 2-1 win over NB La Masia on Friday afternoon at Tsakane Stadium.
After a goalless first stanza, Faud Johnson broke the deadlock for La Masia early in the second stanza but Lebohang Nkaki levelled matters for Polokwane with 20 minutes left.
Hlayisi Chauke snatched the winner for Rise and Shine in the last five minutes.
Polokwane topped the log by virtue of a superior goal difference, as they are equal on points with second-placed Cape Town Spurs and Casric, who are third in the promotion race.
Platinum City Rovers 1-1 Baroka
Baroka got closer to officially surviving relegation after their 1-1 draw against Platinum City Rovers on Friday afternoon at Olen Park Stadium.
Dineo Shaku got the breakthrough for City Rovers midway in the first stanza but Sekela Sithole got the equaliser for Baroka just before the interval.
Bakgaga remained in 11th spot on the table while City Rovers were left lying precariously in 14th spot, six points above the relegation zone.

All Stars 2-2 Magesi
All Stars' slim chances of challenging for a promotion play-off spot evaporated after they were held to a draw by Magesi in a four-goal thriller on Saturday afternoon at Tsakane Stadium.
Magesi went ahead on 16 minutes thanks to Kagiso Selemela who converted a spot-kick and All Stars found the equaliser 16 minutes later.
Umlilo grabbed the lead on 65 minutes from a corner but Selemela pegged them back with ten minutes to go and got his brace in the process.
All Stars remained in sixth spot on the table, ten points off promotion spots, with four matches to go while Magesi also did not move in tenth place.
Venda Football Academy 1-1 Hungry Lions
Hungry Lions missed the chance to move up to within five points of promotion places after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Venda Football Academy on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.
Following a goalless first stanza, Angelo Van Rooi eventually broke the deadlock for Lions early in the second stanza but Rhulani Manzini levelled matters for Venda with 22 minutes to go.
Ditau dia Rora remained in fourth spot on the log, seven points off promotion places with four games to go while Venda were stuck in 12th place.
University of Pretoria 0-0 JDR Stars
JDR Stars could not keep their hopes of promotion alive after they were held to a goalless draw by University of Pretoria in a Tshwane derby on Saturday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.
JDR remained in fifth spot on the log, ten points off promotion places, with four matches to go while AmaTuks were left five points further down in ninth spot.

Black Leopards 2-0 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila
Black Leopards revived their hopes of surviving relegation after beating direct rivals Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 2-0 in the Limpopo derby on Sunday afternoon.
After a goalless first stanza, Tsepo Matsimbi eventually broke the deadlock for Leopards just before the hour-mark and Douglas Mapfumo secured the maximum points with four minutes to go.
Lidoda Duvha leapfrogged TTM in 15th spot on the table and moved six points behind 14th-placed Platinum City Rovers, while Vhadau Vha Damani dropped to the bottom of the log, one point behind Leopards, with four matches left to play.
Uthongathi 1-1 Pretoria Callies
Pretoria Callies extended their unbeaten run to 13 matches after playing to a 1-1 draw against Uthongathi on Sunday afternoon at Princess Magogo.
Callies had to settle for eighth spot on the log, safe from relegation, equal on points with the Cane Cutters, who were left in seventh place on the log with a superior goal difference
