Cape Town Spurs 1-2 Pretoria Callies
Cape Town Spurs missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship a 2-1 loss to Pretoria Callies on Sunday afternoon.
Oswin Appollis had the visitors ahead in the first half before Keorapetse Sebone extended their cushion after the interval.
The Urban Warriors began to stage a comeback as Therlo Moosa slotted in to halve the advantage.
However, there would be no late show this week as Callies held on for the win, as Spurs now sit level on points with second-place Casric Stars.
Venda Football Academy 3-2 Polokwane City
Third-place Polokwane City failed to take advantage of the slip-up by the top-two after losing 3-2 to Venda Football Academy.
Banele Gama opened proceedings though Bulelani Nikani restored parity for the Rise and Shine before veteran Rhulani Manzini steered the host ahead again.
With the minutes ticking away, City were back on equal standing after long-serving Puleng Marema fired home to give his side a chance towards maximum points.
Venda, though bagged the points when Tatenda Tavengwa rose in the dying seconds and executed the winner to leave Rise and Shine empty handed.

Baroka FC 0-1 JDR Stars
JDR Stars got back to winning ways in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with a narrow 1-0 victory over Baroka FC on Saturday.
The Hammerboyz's quest towards the top-three was derailed in midweek following a 2-1 defeat at the Venda Football Academy, but fortunately regrouped to see off Bakgaga Ba Ga Mphahlele.
Black Leopards 1-1 Casric Stars
Rock-bottom Black Leopards continued their steady fight to stave the drop to the second tier this season courtesy of a 1-1 stalemate against Casric Stars.
Lidoda Duvha, who just got their third win of the season in midweek at Magesi FC, were ahead and led for large parts of the game.
Stars, who are chasing promotion to the top-flight, replied after the break through a smart effort from Lehlohonolo Mojela.
Uthongathi FC 3-0 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC
Uthongathi FC returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win over the relegation-threatened Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC at the Princess Magogo Stadium
The Cane Cutters went down to All Stars in midweek, while Tshakhuma were held by Pretoria Callies as the victory strengthens the home side's top-half spot.
All Stars 3-0 Hungry Lions FC
All Stars made it two wins on the bounce through a stern 3-0 victory Hungry Lions FC in a keenly contested top-half encounter.
Stars increased their chances towards a top-three spot in midweek with a 2-0 win at Uthongathi FC, whilst Di Tau overcame the University of Pretoria.

NB La Masia 0-1 Magesi FC
NB La Masia's struggling run of form in the Motsepe Foundation Championship continued courtesy of a 1-0 loss to Magesi FC at the Tsakane Stadium on Friday.
It was a tight affair much of the time, though the visitors had the lion share of chances and got the winner late in the second half through Bafedile Baloyi's powerful header.
Platinum City Rovers 0-1 University of Pretoria
University of Pretoria scrapped a run of four matches without victory with a narrow 1-0 win over Platinum City Rovers at the Olen Park Stadium in Potchefstroom.
Ayanda Mvambi's strike ensured that the Tshwane outfit walk away with the maximum points, taking the side up to eighth spot.
Rovers, meanwhile, find themselves in 13th position with six games left in the season.
