Polokwane City 0-1 Casric Stars

Casric Stars got back to winning ways after edging ten-man Polokwane City 1-0 in the promotion battle on Wednesday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Polokwane were reduced to ten men early in the game after one of their players made a bad tackle that saw Zebulon Mtshweni stretchered off the field with injury.

Abbey Seseane made Stars' numerical advantage count on the half-hour mark as he broke the deadlock for the visitors.

Casric went up equal on points with second-placed Rise and Shine in third place on the log, both just a point adrift of leaders Cape Town Spurs.

Venda Football Academy 2-1 JDR Stars

JDR Stars' chances of a promotion play-off spot continued to fade after a 2-1 loss to Venda Football Academy on Wednesday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Rudzani Thobo gave Venda a perfect start with the opener within six minutes but JDR equalised on the stroke of half-time.

However, Wanga Khorommbi found the winner for VFA with eight minutes to go.

JDR slid slightly down to sixth on the log while Venda pulled seven points clear of the relegation zone in 13th spot.

Uthongathi 0-2 All Stars

Uthongathi could not maintain their two-game winning run after they were beaten 2-0 by All Stars on Wednesday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

All Stars broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time and secured the three points in stoppage time.

Umlilo climbed up to fifth on the table while the Hammer Boyz remained in seventh place.

Pretoria Callies 0-0 Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila

Pretoria Callies extended their unbeaten run to ten matches after playing to a goalless draw against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Wednesday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

A point pushed Callies up to ninth on the log while TTM remained second-from-bottom, eight points from safety.

Cape Town Spurs climbed up to the top of the table after edging Baroka in a five-goal thriller at Athlone Stadium.

Therlo Moosa opened the scoring for Spurs on 18 minutes and Baroka equalised on the half-hour mark.

However, Moosa restored the hosts' lead ten minutes into the second stanza and Orlando Pirates loanee Boitumelo Radiopane sealed the deal with five minutes to go.

Spurs gained a point lead at the top of the log while Baroka were left lying in 11th spot.

University of Pretoria 1-2 Hungry Lions

University of Pretoria went five games without a win after a narrow 2-1 loss to Hungry Lions on Tuesday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.

Katlego Cwinyane gave Lions the lead on 17 minutes and Thokozani Sekotlong found the equaliser for AmaTuks with 21 minutes left.

However, Jackson Dondolo snatched the winner for Ditau di a Rora five minutes before time.

AmaTuks dropped down to eighth on the log while Lions remained in fourth spot.

Magesi 0-1 Black Leopards

Basement side Black Leopards gave themselves hope of surviving relegation after edging Magesi 1-0 in the Limpopo derby on Tuesday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Lidoda Duvha found the decisive goal with 14 minutes on the clock and that was enough to give them only their third victory of the season.

Leopards are nine points behind 14th-placed Magesi.

Platinum City Rovers 0-2 NB La Masia

NB La Masia extended their unbeaten run to four matches after beating Platinum City Rovers 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Olen Park Stadium.

Joshua Sauls and Mogamad May, on loan from Cape Town City, scored the goals for La Masia in the second stanza.

La Masia climbed slightly up to tenth on the log while City Rovers were left in 12th spot.
