Makgalwa Nets For New Club, Orbit Remain Top!

University of Pretoria 0-1 Casric Stars

Casric Stars ended their three-game losing run after edging University of Pretoria 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.

Following a goalless first stanza, former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Lebohang Lesako scored a decisive goal for Stars with 23 minutes remaining.

Casric climbed up to tenth on the table with 11 points while AmaTuks dropped down to sixth with 13 points.

Hungry Lions 1-1 Pretoria Callies

Hungry Lions' three-game winning run was halted after a 1-1 draw against Pretoria Callies on Sunday afternoon at Windhoek Draught Park Stadium.

The sides went to the half-time break deadlocked before Callies went ahead 15 minutes before time.

However, Pitso Tlotlego snatched the equaliser for Lions seven minutes later.

Ditau Dia Rora moved up to second on the log despite the draw, three point behind leaders Orbit College while Callies remained rock bottom of the log.

Saturday, 28 October

Orbit College 0-1 Venda Football Academy

Orbit College remained at the top of the table despite a last-gasp 1-0 defeat to Venda Football Academy on Saturday afternoon at Giant Stadium.

Following a goalless first stanza, Rotondwa Mutsivhuli eventually snatched the winner for Venda in stoppage time.

The North West outfit retained their top spot by three points while Venda moved out of the relegation zone by a point, up to 14th on the log.

Upington City 2-0 Magesi

Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Keletso Makgalwa was on target for Upington City as they beat Magesi 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Windhoek Draught Park.

Bokang Mokwena snatched the lead for Upington on nine minutes and Makgalwa doubled their lead eight minutes later.

Magesi dropped down to fifth on the standings, four points off the top of the table while Bafana Ba Gucci went up to 11th with ten points.

Black Leopards 2-1 Milford

Black Leopards ended their two-game losing streak after edging Milford 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

The sides went to the break deadlocked before Leopards went ahead just after the interval.

Lidoda Duvha quickly doubled their lead on 68 minutes and although Menzi Chili reduced the deficit for the Stallions two minutes later, Leopards managed to hold on in the last 20 minutes.

Leopards leapfrogged Milford in 12th spot on the log, above them by a place and two points.

Platinum City Rovers 1-1 NB La Masia

New coach Daine Klate could not extend his perfect start at NB La Masia after playing to a 1-1 draw against Platinum City Rovers on Saturday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium.

City Rovers moved up slightly but in danger up to 15th on the log with seven points while La Masia ended up in seventh on the log with 12 points.

Friday, 27 October

Maritzburg United 0-1 JDR Stars

JDR Stars climbed up third on the table after a narrow 1-0 win over Maritzburg United on Friday afternoon at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium

After a goalless first stanza, Prince Nxumalo scored the decisive goal for the Hammerboys six minutes before time.

JDR moved up to within three points of leaders Orbit College while the Team of Choice dropped down a place and a point behind.

Marumo Gallants 1-1 Baroka

Baroka extended their unbeaten run to six matches after playing to a 1-1 draw against ten-man Marumo Gallants in the Limpopo derby on Friday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium.

Ndivhuwo Ravhuhali opened the scoring for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa on 19 minutes but Gallants were reduced to ten men early in the second stanza after Marvin Sikhosana was red-carded.

Bakgaga eventually got the equaliser in stoppage time through Tshepo Mashiloane.

Baroka and Gallants remained equal on points in eighth and ninth place on the table respectively.
