Mamelodi Sundowns will be eyeing a spot in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup when they host third-tier side Mathaithai on Tuesday evening.

The Brazilians will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat Maritzburg United over the weekend, which ended their eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
Sundowns booked their spot at this stage of the tournament after they hammered GladAfrica Champiomship side Richards Bay 4-0 in early February thanks to goals by Bradley Ralani, Rushine De Reuck, Pavol Safranko and Peter Shalulile.
Masandawana have won the tournament under current sponsors three times, the last of which was in 2019/2020 season after edging Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 in the final.
Mathaithai, on the other hand, are debutants in the competition and qualified for the round of 16 after beating fellow ABC Motsepe League side Northern Cape Professionals 2-0 in the first round.
The Sebete Boys are currently placed fifth in the ABC Motsepe League, Free State log in stream A, with 15 points, 14 points behind leaders Dikwena United.
